"Blessed [is] the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is."

Jeremiah 17:7

Are you experiencing a sudden change of events in your life where daily living has almost become overwhelming? Perhaps you are dealing with the unexpected loss of a loved one or long term health problems that seem difficult to accept. Has some unforeseen turn of events either financially or in the matter of a close relationship brought circumstances to your door that weigh heavily in the daily course of your life?

Whatever challenges you may be facing; there is reason for hope. In the uncertainty of the moment there is One who brings peace, comfort, and mercy. Your time of tribulation and testing will become bearable; rest assured there is a promise of Hope for everyone who "...trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is."

"And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."  Philippians 4:7

"Blessed [be] God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God."  2 Corinthians 1:3-4

In every human crisis there is that moment when an individual comes to the point of realization; mans knowledge and capacity to cure or remedy a particular situation has its limitations.

This matter of truth may overtake a person as raging waves of despair; where the heart grieves in a shadow of distress. But even in a tempest of the most severe personal crisis; God will calm the storm and offer a place of refuge and strength.

"He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still." Psalm 107:29

"For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm..."  Isaiah 25:4

Although you may not understand the reason for your time of struggle it is important to comprehend that God has provided a way of access to His peace, through Jesus Christ, His Only Begotten Son.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."  John 3:16-18

Those who accept Jesus Christ as Saviour become God’s people and the sheep of His pasture.

"Know ye that the LORD he [is] God: [it is] he [that] hath made us, and not we ourselves; [we are] his people, and the sheep of his pasture."  Psalm 100:3

Jesus Christ is the compassionate and good shepherd that gives eternal life and ministers to the sheep of God’s pasture.

"And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things."  Mark 6:34

"I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep." John 10:11

If your time of hurting has been unbearable now is the time to let Jesus Christ begin the healing process.

"Whereas ye know not what [shall be] on the morrow. For what [is] your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away."  James 4:14

Before the healing procees can begin, however, a person must have peace with God.  Only through salvation in Jesus Christ is it possible for a person to have peace with God; there is no other way.

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6

" Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ..." Romans 5:1

You can know the way of salvation through Gods Word, the Bible, which can be trusted in all matters concerning salvation .

"For God is not [the author] of confusion, but of peace..."  1 Corinthians 14:33

"But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, [and] easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy."  James 3:17

"All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness..."  2 Timothy 3:16

If you would like to have peace with God, through Jesus Christ, the One who will give you access to the peace of God; the God of mercy and comfort you must:

Admit you are a sinner.

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God..."  Romans 3:23

Realize because of your sin, you will die (spend eternity in hell) unless you ask God to save you.

"For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."  Romans 6:23

Understand there is nothing you can do to save yourself.

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast."  Ephesians 2: 8-9

You must believe that Jesus Christ died in your place.

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."  Romans 5:8

"In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace..."  Ephesians 1:7

Perhaps you are familiar with these scripture references and have not come to the point in your life where you have accepted Jesus Christ as Saviour. For others this may be the first time ever having read the about the True way of Salvation and peace.

Surely you want God’s peace? If you accept those things scripture declares; concerning a person being a sinner and in need of a Saviour, then simply confess to the Lord right now that you are a sinner and ask Him to save you.

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life."  John 5:24

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."  Romans 10:9-10
